Milford

Milford, founded in 1796, traces its origins to a 1,000-acre land grant from the Revolutionary War. The name “Milford” derives from being the first safe “ford” (shallow crossing) to reach a mill north of the Ohio River. In 1982, Milford officially became a city.

Situated in one of Ohio’s growing regions, Milford offers a blend of tradition and progress. This picturesque community retains a strong sense of “community” while evolving to meet modern needs. The town boasts a wide variety of housing options, ranging from newly constructed elegant homes with the latest designs and amenities to historic properties that appeal to those who appreciate architectural styles from earlier eras.

Despite being located near urban amenities, Milford maintains a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that prioritizes a superior quality of life. Residents enjoy the best of both worlds: access to urban conveniences while living in a community that values its history and offers a relaxed, welcoming environment.
