Downtown / OTR
More than 13,000 people call Downtown Cincinnati home. That number will only continue to grow as former commercial spaces are converted into luxury condominiums and apartment homes. The Downtown area is comprised of 3 distinct neighborhoods: Central Business District located between the riverfront and Central Parkway; Over-the-Rhine with boundaries of Central Parkway, Liberty and Mulberry Streets; and Mt. Auburn located on a hilltop overlooking OTR and CBD.
Central Business District residents enjoy convenient access to The Banks, the Riverfront area, both stadiums of our professional teams, Fountain Square plus countless other dining and entertainment options. Housing stock includes everything from cool lofts to penthouse condos with rooftop decks and expansive views of Northern Kentucky.
Over-the-Rhine is Cincinnati’s most historic neighborhood and has undergone a dramatic transformation in the last decade. Once a blighted area, OTR is now a vibrant community anchored by historic Music Hall, Washington Park, Findlay Market and the new School for Creative and Performing Arts. Housing options are constantly expanding as new development of condos, lofts and single family homes continues.
Mt. Auburn, often considered part of OTR, is actually its own community. Cincinnati’s first hilltop neighborhood, residents enjoy stunning city and river views. Originally home to wealthy Cincinnatians, you will find notable houses of Federal, Greek Revival, Italian Villa, Romanesque Revival and Georgian Revival styles on the historically significant streets of Auburn, Dorchester and Taft.
