Felicity
Felicity, originally known as Feestown, was founded in 1817 by German settler William Fee, who named the village after himself. However, his daughter Margaret, dissatisfied with the name, changed it to Felicity when the village was incorporated in 1836. Located just a short drive from the Ohio River, Felicity became a notable stop on the Underground Railroad, offering refuge to escaping slaves.
Today, Felicity is a thriving village with a population of 3,874 residents, situated 34 miles southeast of Cincinnati in Clermont County. The village has experienced nearly 12% population growth in recent years, reflecting the shift from farmland to residential development. To meet this growing demand, new residential construction is on the rise, ensuring that Felicity continues to evolve while maintaining its historical charm.
