This week Pete Kopf explains how the new licensing requirements for Home Inspectors helps to protect everyone involved in a real estate transaction. Having a licensed inspector affords home buyers the assurance that the inspector is qualified to assess a house’s condition prior to finalizing their purchase. It further protects the seller and Realtor who rely on the inspector to accurately report on the condition of a home. Finally, it protects to inspector by ensuring they are following best practices and standards when making their assessments.
