Multi-generational housing is becoming more prevalent throughout the country.  A recent article in the Wall Street Journal highlighted what’s happening in California, Florida, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.  Builders, architects and agents are all seeing an uptick in demand for this type of housing amenity. Further, anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that having an in-law suite may even increase a home’s value.

 

Right here in Cincinnati, 41 homes with “in-law suites” have sold in the past 6 months, with another 56 currently active or pending.
