East Side Kroger will have TWO Restaurants inside
Big things are happening in A-Town these days! The newest additions are the Eagle and Curritos restaurants. Anderson residence are enjoying the new dining additions that have been opening in the area over the last year.
The Kroger at the Anderson Towne Center on Beechmont Avenue will be the largest in the nation when it’s completed, and now two restaurants will be joining its campus.

Kroger is embarking on a $25 million project to expand the Anderson store from 105,000 square feet to 155,000 square feet. That will make it the biggest of Kroger’s 2,623 stores nationwide even bigger than the Oakley Kroger Marketplace, which stands at 145,000 square feet. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2017.
Thunderdome Restaurant Group has signed a lease to open an Eagle Food & Beer Hall and a Currito on the same campus as the Kroger, Joe and John Lanni told me.
Currito first started in Cincinnati in 2005 and has since grown to six local restaurants with 13 franchises outside of the Queen City. The fast-casual restaurant specializes in burritos with twists from different culinary backgrounds. So, for instance, there is a Tikka burrito with tikka masala sauce and raita, a Bangkok burrito with Thai-style peanut sauce and Asian vinaigrette, and a Mediterranean burrito with hummus and feta cheese.
The Eagle opened in Over-the-Rhine in 2013 and has since expanded to Indianapolis and Columbus. The American restaurant specializes in fried chicken with Southern sides like cole slaw and cornbread.
